From the posts that i've read so far i decided to make a fighter with wraith as supportive skill.
My first plan was Sword/Shield/Wraith/Assault/Reserve/Mantle or Spear/Avatar/Wraith/Reserve/Assault/Mantle. Sword and shield is just cool, i like having sns in rpg games. Spear and avatar has good buffs if i understood correctly. And i like having some allies fighting alongside me, thats wraith probably.
Im new to the game and not really sure any of my builds will work or not. Im probably gonna do only pve. Any guidance is appreciated.

bro, how did you find this game?

the standard build is chaos, wraith, spear, staff hit, assault, vestment.

chaos = magic burst damage
wraith = debuffs and summoners
staff hit = Increases magic atk
assault = allows you to reduce the casting time
vestment = fast casting times (garment = slow casting time)

you can use spear and cast spells


I'm a noob, but this is what I know, I hope some pro answers you xd

I don't want to play a caster type character  
I played this game before, like a loooo...ong time ago. Just wanted to play again and have some fun.

For PVE ONLY that build is already good 

Spear/Avatar/Wraith/Reserve/Assault/Mantle
Sword/Shield/Wraith/Assault/Reserve/Mantle


just remember 
Spear cannot Aoe so much skill focus on single attack (perfect for PVe but worst at PVP)
sword more to combo for PVP 
Axe and Bow more AOE ( you will enjoy if you keep on running instance )

personal opinion : shield is a bit useless for PVE if you pair it with sword but good if you pair it with axe. If Shield for PVP always GOOD
