Some people may have noticed that there is only 2 resolutions you can have the game as in full screen:

800 x 600
1024 x 768

Now for most people this will be fine. But what if you have a 19" widescreen monitor and it's resolution is 1440 x 900? How do you run in full screen?
Fear not! The answer is here!

I will explain, with screenshots, how to change your full screen game resolution to a custom size by simply changing 2 lines in a config file.

Step 1:

Open the folder you installed Angels Online in following the icons from your My Computer. (In my case, C:\UserJoy\Angels Online)

You should have opened a folder with the following contents:

Step 2:

Open the file named: midage.config

You should see a window open in notepad looking like this:

Step 3:

Look for these 2 lines in the text:

And change them from:

GameWndSizeWidth = 1024
GameWndSizeHeight = 768

GameWndSizeWidth = (Width)
GameWndSizeHeight = (Height)

Thats it! I hope this guide has helped some people.

Now you can run the game in full screen at any resolution. The game runs perfectly fine in most resolutions I have tried.
If you have any further problems please feel free to PM me ingame or on the forum.

NOTE: Please don't copy this guide without giving credit to myself as it took a while to figure out. Thanks.:handshake

Please note that if you change it to a resolution bigger than your screen the game wont run.

;P 1200x900 is bigger than my screen, runs fine.

I will now attempt to play the game in 1024x100 resolution.

Edit: Ok that didn't work as well as I'd hoped. The game itself doesn't stretch.

Thanks! It's a great guide.
By the way, it solved the warning about the "Color Depht" that kept appearing everytime I started the game... However it was replaced by the following:

"The present resolution of the desktop may affect the efficiency of the game. If it is unable to display normally or the efficiency declines, please change the desktop resolution to a higher one."

But again, no troubles at all ingame! It seems that this new error is caused by my laptop's widescreen somehow, as I've installed the game client on another PC (with a standard, flat monitor), and I get no warning message at all!

Edit: By the way, a small advice:

If you want to get to the Angels Online installation folder quickly:
-Right click on the desktop shortcut. Choose properties.
-In the upcoming window, click "Search target".
